I am Jupiter,
largest and most majestic of planets
The ruler called by a thousand names.
The Sun is my silent partner.
He activates all life
but does not directly deal
with humans as I do.
I am the Compassionate Father.
I am the Grand Vizier,
The Temporal Lord.
I assign to all
gods and goddesses
governance over aspects
of Earth life according to
their nature and talents.
So I preside of the community of gods.
I am the Lord of the Sky
Rain God,
Cloud Gatherer.
I hold a thunderbolt in one hand
and the staff of life in the other.
I am the Chief Deity of the State.
I am Founder of Society,
Promptor of Rituals and Ceremonies,
Preserver of Worlds.
I favour organised religion.
I am the provider of Universal principles
behind the reasons for establishing laws.
I am Justice and Truth.
I am enthusiastic.
I am the Idea behind ideas.
I lift the eyes up
I take humans above themselves,
quicken the mind to look
beyond names and forms
for deeper purposes and
Divine implications.
Planet of Wisdom,
Planet of Growth,
I bestow generously, lavishly.
I am effervescent and buoyant
optimistic and ebullient.
I am glorious in my grandeur,
the cosmic embodiment of human struggle,
all the lavish lusts of Earth,
all the aspirations of spiritual struggle
to final triumph over experience
gaining wisdom,
then compassion,
then freedom from the Great illusions.
I am this great plan,
this Divine Law on Earth.
It is I who teach humans how
to communicate with the gods,
how to dial direct contact
with the consciousness of Real Self.
God of Weather,
I’m called ~Bright Heaven~
God of Celestial Phenomena,
rain, lightning, wind and clouds
are at my command.
I am the Horn of Plenty,
Planet of Good Fortune.
